Our client is one of Thailand’s largest ethanol producers with major production base and market in Thailand.

Prior to Bridge Consulting’s engagement, our client was facing key decisions as to the optimal production plan and production process of ethanol and its sugar productions. With volatility in prices of oil, alcohol, and sugar, making decisions without optimization tools will most likely result in a sub-optimal return on investment.
BRIDGE CONSULTING'S ROLES
Bridge Consulting worked with the marketing, production, and finance team of both ethanol and sugar business units in developing the optimization tool. The tool would generate an optimal production plan and production mix between the two products. The process started with data collection, development of optimization model, and scenario testing to obtain an optimal financial return for our client.
PROJECT OUTCOME
The outcome was a solid production plan and production mix for our client which generated an optimal return on investment.
The model was continually used to re-run the optimal production mix under changes in the environment.
